Hi,
I just got back from C.C. I used Piggy
as a guide once. I was a little disappointed
that we did not go out and net fresh bait
on our trip. We were targeting Tarpon,Barracuda etc. Not sure if he has the set up, but Charles Young has an improvised
livewell.
We met a couple there that uses Eloy and has
been going for three years , six weeks at a time. We wanted to try Eloy but he was taken.
My suggestion is to try different guides.

Do me a favor and post a report after your fishing trip. I am heading down the first week of Aprl and am having trouble finding information about guides from past customers.
Thanks, Dave

I want to clear up my previous comment
regarding Piggy. When I said try using different guides I meant that each guide
has their own positives and negatives.
Piggy certainly knows the waters. Its possible he may even have the set up to
use live bait if you ask. That was the
impression we were given.
Regading the Iguana Reef, we originally
tried to book there but did not because
they could not give us a room that faced
the water. If this matters to you, call
ahead and try and reserve one.
Best of luck. CC and its people are great.

I tried the DOA shrimp. Had fake crabs as well. Tried spoons ( Krocodiles etc) and
some plugs. The thing I didn't try that
I think might be worth a shot is a bucktail
jig, tipped with conch if no shrimp available.
Your head is going to explode when you see
all those Tarpon at night. Please send a
report when you get back or from the
internet cafe(s) on the island if you
use them.
