#219061 - 03/19/05 03:21 AM it's a toss up!!

Can anybody out there give me a recomendation as to whether costa maya or tropical paradise is the better place to stay. They are both about the same price, so that is not of concern. I realize that some people may not want to post such a message on this board, and if so we would truly appreciate it if you could e-mail us at .
Also, I've spent a lot of time reading past posts, and I am amazed first of all, at how many there are regarding accomodations, and, more importantly how many of you out there continually respond to these questions.(in particular "Keycocker")
I just want you to know that it really is appreciated.

Thanks so much,
Jon and Kayla

I have only one comment. Costa Maya
is directly on Front Street, which is the
main drag. Personally I like to be away
from traffic. Read some of the comments
at Trip but take them
with a grain of salt. Good luck and have

I have never stayed at either place but having seen both & walked by both many, many times, I would choose tropical paradise because it is by the water & has a restaurant & lounge on the premises. Also, it's location is on the quieter side of the village. But, absolutely every place does have it's own charm & I'm sure Costa Maya does as well. I've stayed at the Sea View twice (now called Barefoot Beach???), in the Sea View Cottage once (very, very rustic) & at the Iguana Reef once (the most luxurious on the island!!!!!!!!) A lot of people wait until they arrive before making their selection, as there are usually rooms available at most places (except maybe the Iguana Reef)

My wife and I spent 12 days at the Tropical Paradise last month and loved it! Nice and quiet and it's run by very nice people.

How much time will you really spend at where you will stay?
When you do stay there what will you want to do?
