If you could only pick one, what would be your favourite eating establishment on C.Caulker?

I know this may be a tough assignment, especially if you love food.
Atmosphere, quaint, decore, rustic, all the things that make you like a place, counts enough to return more than once or twice.

My favorite eating establishment on
Caye Caulker is:
1. Syds (for fried conch)
2. Wish Willys..depending on Maurice's mood
3. Jim & Romis (for bbq chicken)
4. The Rainbow. grilled snapper or fish salad
5. Cindys ( closed now..sorry)
6. Don Corleones a decent caesar salad and more
7. Barbaras for Expresso Brownies, local coffee
8. The local bakery ( sweet rolls ,outta site)
9. The fruit and juice stand south of Habernos
Sorry, too hard too pick just one!

For dinner: What ever Lobster barbeque grill seems best and reasonable.
For breakfast: The Sandbox (also good(!!!!!!) for Conch Chowder.

Also chech out Chans take out for fresh fish take away!

All the rest are great, depends on the night/day and mood and guests.
This is waht we love about the Caye!
Enjoy!!

Barbara is located at Caribbean Colors Art Gallery right between the police station and lighthouse ice cream on Front Street. Best coffee on the island, Caye Coffee is roasted and ground in San Pedro weekly.

My vote goes to Rainbow (especially for conch fingers) and then to Rasta Pasta.

Overall I may have to agree that Rainbow
is the best. (in general)
We did get a conch salad one day at
Rasta Pasta and it was bad because the
conch wasn't hammered and so it was
like rubber.
Having said that, I can't comment
on RP's other foods because we never went
back but it always seemed to be busy.
The great thing is the food is fabulous on
CC and there are so many choices.
And too each his own.
BTW thanks to the poster who corrected
be about Barbaras. The art in her gallery
is pretty neat as well as the coffee etc

Best breakfast is Mo and Irene's B&B the Lazy Iguana
2nd is the cart lady under Miramar Hotel who sells excellent waffles for US$.75 a plate to go.
3rd would be the johnnnie cake lady across from Chan's. You can get these little hot crusty breads filled with cheese or chicken for US$.38 but she often sells out before 8 AM
Like many who live here we don't eat lobster but Jim is a lobster fisherman and when Romi's brother grills them there at the entrance it is hard to find a place to sit down.Lobster fisherman know what they should taste like. Same for grilled fish at that place.
We eat at Rainbow mostly.

Thanks for all the replies.
Lots of good food choices. The Good woman doesn't eat seafood and I love it. I am now worried that one week on CC may not be enough to sample all suggestions. Looks like the Rainbow Bar should be near the top of the list of places to eat.

My wife and I didn't share the enthusiasm for Rainbow. We thought it was OK.

Habaneros was very good. We liked Happy Lobster for breakfast. We also liked Coco Plum for breakfast. The Omelet was great. They were too vegetarian to suit us for dinner. They also close on Monday and Tuesday.
