Has anybody taken the water taxi from Chetumal to San Pedro? (I believe I read there is one)

Anyone know the cost and the length or time of ride?
Trying to put together a plan for a Caye Caulker visit.

The water taxi is from Corozal to San Pedro. Yes, I've taken it. Its a long ride though (1-1/2 hour stopping in Sarteneja), albeit comfortable airline style seating, rather than the hard benches we're accustomed to in most water taxis, and its a fully covered boat. The cost used to be 40 bzd ($20 U.S.) I don't know if the price went up with higher fuel prices. I prefer to fly though, its a 20 minute spectacular flight into San Pedro. Check out Tropic Air or Maya Island Air's website for flight prices and schedules.

Thanks for the information, Cybercayecaulker.

Flight by Maya is only $41 to San Pedro never got into Tropic air but they are probably competitive.

Then another 10 bucks by water taxi. A lot of transfering to get to Caye Caulker.
