Sometimes people cruising this message board can be spiteful and irritating, so many of the property owners prefer private communications with potential customers to avoid public ridicule from trolls.

You may also want to check out www.cayecaulkerbelize.net for a comprehensive listing of all the hotels on the island. This website was set up by the town of Caye Caulker.

Most people in America are basic honest people but if you live there your house/car might get robbed one day. Does that mean that everyone in the USA is dishonest? Would you find it insulting for someone to say that about all Americans? You seem to have made friends with no one in one of the friendliest places on earth.
Are you familar with the book "Ugly American"?
Would you consider getting counseling and apologising to the many fine people who live on this island?

My husband and I visited Caye Caulker last March and had a completely different experience than CayeCracker. Everyone was very nice to us and we felt safe where ever we went. Love Rasta Pasta. No, we did not have valuables with us, other than our camera, and we keep that with us all the time to take pictures. We locked our doors and windows when we left the house (just like we do in the US) and used basic common sense. You really don't need to bring much with you. Leave your jewelry at home, it just would look silly with your shorts, tank tops, and flip flops anyway! Thanks to everone in Caye Caulker for your hospitality. We will be back again this March, bringing another couple with us.
