This year we are varying our Yucatan experience and during our 3 week tenure in this area, will be coming down from Isla Mujeres via Cancun to Caye Caulker for 1 week.

We plan on taking the bus from Cancun to Belize, not sure where we go from there. Depends on time, may stay @ Corozal on the first night and dependent on the time get to Caye Caulker that day. Or may try to get to Belize City and then take a ferry over. May have to stay over either place, not sure what is going to work. Any very concrete suggestions are helpful, we need some advice.

You can fly to caye caulker from corozal via san pedro. Look on www.tropicair.com for the schedules and times .

If you take an early morning (5-6 AM) bus from Cancun you can do the whole trip in one day and be in Caye Caulker by happy hour.

Flying in one direction (either there or back) gives you both kinds of experience and saves time, if your budget allows.

Have fun!

If you have to stay in overnight accommodations while waiting for the ferry, the 40 buck flight maybe a good deal.

Well 80 bucks if you bring a girlfriend. Maybe she will cough up half.

Does anyone know if there is an airline that flies between Cancun & Belize?

Web site &/or phone # would be great.
Thanks,
Karen

You can fly from Cancun to Chetumal, cross the border overland, and then fly from Corozal on to San Pedro and then Caye Caulker.

Thanks and cheers,

Thanks for the quick reply!

From the earlier post, I know about TropicAir. Would I use them to go from Cancun to Chetumal too?

No, you would have to use a Mexican airline, such as Mexicana or Aero Mexico. Your travel agent in the U.S. should be able to book this for you easily.

I hope this info helps.

Thanks and cheers,
