Just wondering if anyone has ever stayed here. I'll be staying in Cabana 6 upstairs for 6 nights. They seemed very nice and the location seems good. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I live here on Caye Caulker and have never heard one complaint about Costa Maya, I visit with alot of tourist and always ask where they are staying, always nothing but positive.
Heather is a great person and you should have a enjoyable stay here.

Yes, Heather has been fabulous. I'm looking forward to a lovely time. Hope to get some replies from people who have actually stayed there. Seems like a good location for swimming too (near Split). Do you agree?

I have stayed at the cabanas and they are fantastic. Heather and Olga that work there provide the best service and friendly and helpful as well, nothing is too much trouble. The cabanas have everything you need plus we were able to use the kayaks and bikes as well and as much as we wanted. Also do a trip with them, their guide Harry has got to be the best snorkeling guide on the island, great fun plus a great cook as well. They offer a whole heap of inland trips to and anything other info you need. I hope you have a fantastic time because we sure did and will stay there again.

Thanks Carl. I'm glad you replied, nice to hear from someone that actually stayed there. How did you find the swimming right around there? Also, were the cabanas 'buggy'?

The swimming is good, they have their own dock with a nice place to lay in the sun and a ladder to get in and out of the water. You be amaze with the large amount of marine life living under and around the dock, nothing dangerous just beautiful. The Split isn't bad as well for swimming. Just watch out for the boats wherever you swim. I found no bugs in the cabanas, they have flyscreen on the windows and by memory I think the cabana you are staying in has a sceen door as well. Just take repellent for mosquitos and sandflies. Highly recommend you do a snorkel trip with them, absolutely fantastic. We did a day trip-Zip Line and Cave Tubing which was unbelievable, so much fun. Have a great time and just chill out and relax and enjoy...wish I was back on Caye Caulker now....Merry Christmas!
