Hey all1 I was wanting to ask about bringing in supplies and such for the schools and a few things for SAGA. What exactly do I have to do? Declare it as school supplies and SAGA donations? Or just say nothing and hope they don't search my luggage? I'm new at bringing in stuff, I'm ususally carrying booze or stuff out!

when we came in we had a lot of supplies and vitamins.

we did declare them and were trying to find some to show customs as they asked but it was scattered all over luggage so we showed some and he just waved us past.

Thanks, I just don't want to do the wrong thing! I just didn't want to get it taken away and not get to the proper plaeces I want it to go! I want to help what little bit that I can, but it's given from the heart. Thanks for the info.

I'm a proponent of ALWAYS declaring. In my experience, once they realize you are trying to assist the country, the customs agents are very generous. I generally get throught w/ no duty at all - the one time I had to pay duty, customs agents intentionally "Undervalued" the stuff and charged me a grand total of $15 US for about 7 boxes of school and vet supplies. Honesty pays! smile

Just down last week with supplies for both SAGA and the school.
Declared all and was minimally looked at and subsequently waived thru.

Both parties will be thrilled with your generosity.

I'm looking for someone / place that could use some software. (Fully legal, still in shrink wrap!) It's not the newest stuff out but still very workable... PM me if you are a ware of a good home for the software (windows 2000, and MS Office Small Business 2000) I have a very limited number of copies.

Some background about your request and ease of hand off / location will be helpful!

We will also have some school supplies, and looking for the same as above...
