Got email yesturday that implied that many airlines participate in a program of "courier" flights. It seems that 'registered couriers may chose a destination and time for travel and receive "free" or some minimum payment for the trip if they will carry "documentation" concerning items that are being shipped as "Excess Bagage" on the flight. And that the courier never touches the cargo. Anybody have any experience with this sort of thing?

I'll be happy to discuss my avatar with anyone who knows what it is.

Fly with cargo that you never see or touch? You'd have to have a lot of faith that unfriendly people in uniforms wouldn't be waiting for you at the other end.

It is a valid Program Don. But not as easy as they make it sound. You have to able to fly at a minutes ( and i mean minutes notice.) It's been around for years. and believe me you get to pick a destination thats on thier list not yours. and once you arrive at " Thier" destination your not always garanteed a return trip and could be stranded for days until they can Fit you in.

remember. " If it's too good to be true..It Is

I have adventurous friends with lots of time on their hands who have done this frequently for years. Although much less than in the past - chalk up most of the change to the Internet & email. It is usually documents, not "packages".
