Well my tourists have had a wild week out here in Santa Elena Town at FALCONVIEW HOSTEL. They've done TIKAL, done the jungle canopy ZIP LINING and the CAVE TUBING down the river through caves. Seen Cahel Pech and Xununantunich ruins, they got back last night from CARACOL and a visit to Rio On Rapids and Rio Frio cave on the way; tonight they are camping overnight UNDERGROUND in ACTUN TUNICHIL MUCKNAL. Wish I was there to tell ghost stories. ( grin! ) You turn off lights in those cave systems and you can't see your hand in front of your face. Real easy out in Western Belize to stay busy for 8 or 9 days. Got their gear stowed in the office secure till they get back tomorrow evening. They want to take me and Silvia out to dinner at Hanna's restaurant down in the twin towns tomorrow night. We will go, as they ate there last night and thought it was good food in large portions for only $7 Bz. They sure planned their two weeks in Belize good!
http://folkmusicfl.tripod.com/actuntunichilmucknal/ 5 days are slipping by so fast with all these ONE DAY ADVENTURES. Laura James is from Missoula and Chris is from Indianapolis and they sure planned their two week vacation well. A week out here using FALCONVIEW TOURIST BACKPACKERS ADVENTURE HOSTEL as headquarters and they are out of here at 8 a.m. and arriving back around 8 or 9 p.m. Exhausted but real happy. As snow skiers they are action orientated. From here it's overnight at San Pedro on Sunday and then 3 nights on Caye Caulker at my daughter, Tina's Backpackers Hostel on the beach. I hear she is turning people away and the waiting list from people in other accomodations is very long. Makes me wish I was young again to do it all over.
http://folkmusicfl.tripod.com/adventuresinbelize/ The ONLY adventure low budget hostel in Western Belize! We are more luxurious than 75% of the higher priced hotels around here, imagine that? Who would ever of thought it?
