Jane,

I bought the airfare last night, so SWMBO and myself will be in SP 8-14 to 8-23.

As usual we are south of town in our (more or less) "home away from home".

I'm not sure how full JE will be, but it is VERY slow in SP during August. About as far north as I'm allowed to get (that parole thing you know) is the Palapa. Even that, after a couple (3-4?) of my personally designed "Blue Hole Cocktails", is probably too far.

CC

I was down at JE the same week you're going about a year ago. Here are the must-dos:
- Request Patrick as your DM; he was outstanding

- If Susan is still a waitress there, be sure to talk with her, she's a real hoot!

- Take a sea kayak and paddle out to the reef . there are buoys where you can tie up and just snorkel around for an hour. it's amazing what you'll see just 10 minutes from the lodge.

- Eat at Elvi's and definitely order the lobster!!!

- Ask Jim (mgr @ JE) about the pizza joint down the road from JE. If it's still there, ORDER! They do deliver, but give them an 1.5 hours at least.

- AND, have a blast!! Sure wish I was going!

Say hi to Susan for me too if she is still there, nicest lady. She loves to read, I gave her two Sandra Brown books. So if you finish your book there give it to her, she will be most appreciative.

Jane,

About the simplest and most entertaining venue might be for you and the diver man to plan on the water shuttle to town Sunday early evening and grab the Sunday beach BBQ at BC's (as in Bruce and Charlene). It's a charming, popular outdoor drinking facility right next door to the Sunbreeze, on the water. We've been doing that for years even before they opened the new place. You'll catch on pretty quick who Charlene is..just ask her to point out her Indiana friends.

We'll be there around 6-6:30 because I have to get the hammocks in off the beach first. As far as V-Ball, perish the thought. That is best left to the "younger" and more energetic. In addition, it would ruin the "reputation" in SP that I have worked so hard to maintain during the years. The Mrs would be a far more likely candidate if she isn't too waterlogged. Dive, dive, dive.

If that doesn't get it, or there might be another idea, drop a note to us at [email protected]

That is "....Must Be Obeyed"

By the way, do B and C cook up any shellfish or vegetables?

Or just the mammal variety?

Sunday is sausage, ribs and chicken. Either or all. The menu also generally includes copious amounts of adult beverages consumed by those too weak willed to do otherwise. (Basically the entire population, although we did stumble into an AA meeting in San Pedro six years ago..True Story).
