There are some mayan homestays if you want rustic, but if you want nice you are talking staying in PG town, or the lodge at Big Falls. It is about an hours drive to Blue Creek from PG town.

Haven't yet but we wanna. We've been to Blue Creek but only for the day. Right now should be the right time to go unless it's raining buckets. Ran into Jeff Corwin in that area when his filmmaking was an infant. Long before he was picked up by Animal Planet.

We were at Blue Creek last week and it was fantastic. Water was cool but clear and not very high. The waterfalls coming out of the caves was excellent.

Today I learned there are 2 Blue Creeks. I am going to Blue Creek Town,it is Northwest not far from Orange Walk on the boarder of Mexico. Has anyone been there?

Ah Indygirl, now I see why Hickatee Cottages would be somewhat inconvenient for you.

Yes it would be a hike. I expect the memonite town of Blue Creek is a real hopping town, but may have to go to Orange Walk to sleep.
I think we may really be moving this week-cabinets go in tomorrow!!! See you at the pool when the sun comes out.
