Will be traveling in June via Taca for a long-term trip. Plan to take my lap-top, which I understand can come in duty-free. I also have some somewhat bigger personal effects (portable sewing machine; mini tv/vcr) and the usual luggage. Does anyone have experience as to whether it would be best to re-pack things in an older box so it doesn't look as if I intend to sell the things there--which it might look like if it was in its original packing? Or, if there's a good way to get them thru without much hassle? I don't want to purchase things in Belize that I've already got here. Thanks.
