You do need a Passport. Takes 4-6 weeks to get one.

Don't leave home without it. For a small fee, you can expedite this and cut down on the time it takes, should your departure be near. Good Luck!

Don't forget your passport and bring a pen on the plane too. I always forget one and am scrambling to fill out the customs docs last minute.
