There may be hope. After several years of falling into disrepair, the exterior has a fresh coat of paint and the grounds have been cleaned up. Last trip, Feb., I also saw what appeared to be some new kitchen equipment being taken inside. Who knows whether it will be back in operation soon or just sprucing it up for a possible sale. Nonetheless, Sweet Basils was an awesome restaurant. Here's hoping the Phoenix rises from the ashes.

I understand that Sweet Basils will re-open soon with the original chef. It has been cleaned up and new equipment purchased, and the hiring of personnel is underway. Would love to hear comments from you all if you go there to eat. We loved it before, and hope it is comparable once it opens.

Jules Vasquez is opening it for Jeff Pierce of Reef Village fame from what I hear from the coconut telegraph.
Not much was going on last month each time I went by.
Sun & Sand...we missed you during the boogie.

Thanks, Reaper. Believe me, I was watching you from the veranda. You guys looked so incredible coming down from the sky. I did want to try a tandem jump, but the Mr. was a little concerned about getting my body from Belize to the USA, so he talked me out of it. We did enter the raffle for SAGA, but guess someone else won. Next year, I'm gonna try to talk him into it, starting a little earlier. I don't know why, but we kinda stayed close to home, and just enjoyed lazing about. We were watching, tho.
