Can anyone share their experience while staying at the Belizean Reef?

Also need a recommedation on a fishing charter for the end of July from the Belizean reef.
I hear it is $125.00 per half day. How many people does that include? Will the charter captain supply the reels?
Is a license required?

Any Lobster diving tips or secrets?

Is spearfishing allowed? Do they rent them as well?

Any do's or don't would also be appreciated.

Also need some wild side suggestions for some fun loving partygoers.

Thank you everyone for your responces, This board is great. Thanks webmaster...sbc

Suggest you bring your own mask, we do. A leaky mask can ruin an incredible snorkel trip! We rent fins at Amigos Del Mar Dive shop, see their page on this web site.
No surf.
Some limited spear fishing.(rules & regs)
Do eat at Estel's Dine by the Sea.
Do fish then shore lunch.
Belize it!

Wellll.......
There's bone fishing in the flats, deep sea fishing and also reef fishing. ALL the guides seem to be very knowledgable. A half day reef fishing in your own boat is about $125 US dollars. As for the mask, I agree that it's best to bring your own, but if you don't have one, hustler tours fits you for a mask at the dock before you leave to snorkel. If they don't get a good fit, you keep trying until you do. Snorkel equipment rents for about $6 US per day. There are lots of places to rent them. There is no surf per se, if you're into surfing, but there are places to rent windsurf boards, there is parasailing and also jet ski rental. You can see the waves breaking on the reef from the shore. ("barrier" reef)They also have kayak rental and air boats on the back side of the island through the mangroves. As for partying, I recommend Fido's. Can't miss it. The other places are more "disco" and I can do that at home. Fido's has a lot of island bands come and play live. Punta music is popular and really gets you in the mood to PARTY!! It's right on the water, and very casual. A lot of fun. Have a good time!!!

I have stayed at the Belizean Reef several times and I love it. It's very comfortable, makes me feel at home ... up until the point I look out the windows and see the beautiful blue water [Linked Image]

I stay at the Belizean Reef when I go to San Pedro. The staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to accomodate you. The rooms are clean and large and they are centrally located. And you can't beat the price!!!
