Which area of these two do you think to be better place to build a house in the medium future?

What about Palmero Point?

Thank you.

I would like to know the same as Adrian specifically about
the Northern end of Ambergris. With the Northern Highway going
in does that mean all the way North, or just halfway up?
Will it be possible to build in Palm Bay Club, at the very
northern end of the island, in the somewhat near future?

Funny, I didn't see any northern highway going in when we were there last week confused Also did not not hear that one was even being considered at this time. G.O.B. "No money, No road, No problem" smirk

WEll, the question really is: in 10 years from now, which area do you think will be more developed: Ambergris Bay or Palm Bay?
Or both will be as undeveloped as today?

In 10 years I bet there will be development at both. I started going to AC 7 years ago and there was no bridge and no talk of a bridge - not that much development way up north -- now there is all kinds of condos - and there was zero mention of ambergris bay - now that area seems very hot.

Where would you purchase between these two?

Is Palm Bay Club much higher elevation than Ambergris Bay?

Palm Bay, faster development, higher land, close to Xcalak with large pier, close to Rocky Point, on the reef. Palm Bay is going to be "The Place" on this island when San Pedro Town is just a day trip to see what the island used to be like. Too many docks and too much buildings, concrete, traffic. San Pedro needs to be replanned, which won't happen. The north is where its at and being on the reef (Caribbean) side is where you wanna be.

Palm Bay is also in the Bacalar Chico Natural Park and Bacalar Chico Marine Reserve and is 1.5 miles from the Mayan Canal. Laguna de Cantena is breath taking. Rocky Point is my favorite area. You can climb up on the fossilized reef (15' high) and look into the lagoon and out over the Caribbean (with not reef line and breakers on shore).

I am glad that I found this forum. I signed a contract on a piece of property in Palm Bay Club in 1993. I made payments until about 1997 when I paid off my land and got the deed that I was the owner.

When the land first was offered back in the early 1990s the sellers gave us buyers all kinds of glowing predictions about an airport going in soon and a road being built in the north. Those things never materialized and the land just sat there for many years.

I held onto my piece of property knowing that someday things would start happening. It seems that in the last couple of years more and more web sites have appeared talking about Palm Bay Club and also more and more agents are offering the land for sale.

I can not tell you how relieved I am to see this. I would like to know if the land has been selling well in Palm Bay Club and I would appreciate hearing more good things about the property development up there. I would think that Palm Bay Club property would sell very well to divers who want to retire there and enjoy the spectacular diving that is found there.

When I visited Belize Emory King took me to see the houses that the Mennonite farmers build. I was wondering who could build an inexpensive home for me in the Palm Bay Club? Any suggestions?
