Hello all,

coming down relatively soon and checking local requirements for bringing a new outboard motor........3.3-3.5 HP for a local skiff...any concerns bringing this kind of gift to BZ/SP??? Thanks in advance for feedback/info regarding bring a boat motor to our friends in sp/bz......mnkn...

Bring plenty of money to pay duty on that new motor, Gift or not you will have to pay possably 40% of it's value.

Maybe an idea is to buy it here in Belize.

Be aware that parts for the US versions of many outboards aren't available in Belize. The versions sold here are often tougher and simpler as they haven't had to pass US environmental requirements.
