Yesterday we went to met friends in Belize City for the day and had a great time.

We hooked up with a cool guide near Mirab and ended up going to Altun Ha, Lunch in sandhill and touring the city.

We made it back in time for TB and I to pick up a few things we needed and make it to the water taxi.

Great story and pictures. Is it normally pretty easy to find a tour guide to take you to Altun Ha from the water taxi pier area in Belize City? Or was it because a cruise ship was in? I like this idea.

Lots there when the cruisers are in, but there are always a few hanging around every day.

Razor because we were in tourist village area to find our friends, there was no shortage of guides looking to take people out.

Look at # 12 on this map we were at Mirab near there when Rod got talking to him.

The guy we used was Mike's Tours and Taxi service, and I would definitely recommend him. Our friends took his card too so I know they would say same. (he was not the first one we spoke with but so glad Rod found him)

He does city tour - Mayan sites - Rain Forest - Wild Life and cave tubing.

His contact info is....

Thanks a lot for the contact info, directions and map, TG. I'm guessing Mike's tour/taxi service is going to increase some after your post. Mike should give you a discount next time. smile

Yw Razor

I do hope that people find Mike from this post, it is always handy to have one or 2 good people you like to use for something like that.

(especially when you hear a few stories of people ending up with someone who was not as noteworthy)

Hi tacogirl! It was great seeing your pictures and reading the stories! It was also nice visiting with you when we were there in February.
My question...is it better for us to do Valentine things for the children since we visit around that time, or would it be better to pick up holiday things all year round?
Keep up the cause....the children are blessed to have you as an ambassador!
Peggy
