New research shows sea turtles have adapted in the past -- can they do it again?
When top marine turtle scientists convened at the International Sea Turtle Symposium, several new studies related to the impacts of climate change were presented. Among the findings:

-- Australian flatback sea turtles have made radical behavioral changes to adapt in the past. New research suggests the turtles may be able to adapt to future climate change.

-- Increased temperatures will reduce the number of North Carolina loggerhead hatchlings, and possibly eliminate male loggerheads in Florida.

-- The decline of leatherbacks in the Pacific Ocean, long attributed to incidental catch and habitat loss, is now thought to be primarily driven by climate change.

Rykat's ancestors were those that argued the World was really flat and this nonsense about a globe was just a bunch of crazy talk. He also owns a beta max.
