Checked the beach. Surge over the high tide mark but still not to the fence. Hard to walk into wind, when the gusts are up - having to do the angle thing. All docks seem fine from Sunbreeze to Ramons.

I figured I'd send one last email while I still have power. It's 11:15pm.....the winds are unreal right now.....I'd say gusting over 100 mph. Rain not really hard just steady for several hours now. Keith is about 60 miles East of San Pedro, with winds of 150 mph. Upgraded to Category 3. It can move north just anytime it wants now....haha. It seems to be very comfortable in the spot it's in. All plants in my planter box outside are laying flat. The big elephant ear has been uprooted. So far I still have the roof on my golf cart....haha.

wind picked up pretty hard - straight out of the west. Stepped outside (the doors on the South and is fairly protected) Felt the wind and saw the rain and made a beeline back in. Will attempt again in 15 minutes

the east edge of the real center's still 50-60
miles out at sea, counting the Bay of Chetumal as "sea", too. The
thickest part of the outer eyewall is over land, though. Over us, too.
If it weren't, she'd go Cat 4 and climbing in a hummingbird's

You gotta have a lot of storm to even form an eyewall. We're in it
now, south side, I think, and it's a wee bit more than mildly

All seems fairly calm right now.

Was over at Island Supermarket doing some shopping and everyone seemed not
much disturbed by the fact that a hurricane is immediately in front of us.

Most homes and businesses covered windows with plywood already and most are
closed by now too.

The roads have become real bad but this is not something unusual of course.

The football field is about half flooded now and this was the same case when
Mitch visited.

The beaches have not been affected much I confess and this is due to the
fact that the winds are coming from the northwest. If there is a shift in
the wind direction, I can see the potential for damaged beach, dive shops
and piers.

Well, will keep you posted as long as the electricity and phone hold up.
