Customer Notice

Belize Telecommunications Limited is aware that some
Internet customers are presently experiencing difficulties
in accessing the High Speed DSL Internet Service.

In order to avoid these difficulties, customers are asked
to please change their DNS IP address to the New IP Address
200.32.248.1 which was advertised in the newspapers and
sent via email since January 24th, 2007.

If this change is not done, customers will continue to
experience difficulties. For assistance please contact
BTL's Internet support at 0-800- CALL- BTL.

Does this also apply to Coral Cable customers, which (I believe) use most of the BTL infrastructure?

Does this fix make the service more reliable or just usable?(not really a word) How reliable is high speed internet on AC? Has anyone tried satellite, or is that even a possibility?

BTL's DSL has been good and reliable for me, and I got it when it was first offered.

What about Skype? Can I use it in Belize? I've heard that it is blocked or difficult to use. Are there other options for international calling at good rates?

Skype has been working fine if you're on Coral Cable. I've had some BTL users that say they are having problems with Skype. Doesn't make sense but what does!
