I usually visit San Pedro in December and was thinking of making a quick trip down at the very end of May. I did read that rainy season is from June thru November. What are my chances of having good weather at the end of May. During my last visit in December 2006, it rained nearly 100% of the time.

I know you cannot predict the weather and I know you can still enjoy San Pedro in the rain but since I have never visited at this time of year I thought I would inquire.

Any info would be appreciated.

I have been down in May several times. One time, only about a drop of rain in 10 days. Other times, it rained for an hour or so, then blew out. Have experienced wind that time of year, but it was all good!

It will definately be better weather wise than what you had in Dec.

June starts the rainy season, can vary a few weeks either way. You will enjoy it whether it rains or not!!!

I keep up with this because of the Birdwatching opportunities it creates.
Our lack of rain recently has kicked the mosquitoes back to almost nothing. Great time of year to explore all those places in the back of the island where normally you can't go because of the mosquitoes. I keep a journal and have noted the island is a little different with when the rain starts than the charts indicate, The charts seem to indicate late may to early June but my journal notes we have a late start by comparison to the mainland predictions. Sometimes even into July before we get real wet.
