Hi Everyone,

I don't know what it is but something is attracting me kind of magically to Ambergris Caye. So I would love to visit this most promising place in September. However, I have a really really low budget and would not be able to afford any of the fancy resorts and hotels there (I wish I could).

Are there any places in AC where one could stay for really little (some small hut at the beach :-), or do some Sanpedranos offer private accommodation at a low rate [let's define 'low' as 20$ for single, 30$ for double] or do I have to keep on just dreaming .... ?

If you know of anything that could help my friend and me fulfill one of our dreams, please let us know!

Thanx!

Look up Ruby's on the home page under lodgings. It will be cheap and is located in town. Probably be able to negotiate for a September stay. Eat at Reef Restaurant on Middle street, alot of good food for $3.50 US
plus beverage. I have not stayed at Ruby's but I did check it out in June, looked clean,
but it seems all the places are clean.

Rubies get my vote every time. Really cheap digs, right in town, on the water. Their deli is great too and opens at 6 a.m. for breakfast and lunch. You know its got to be good when you see a lot of locals eating there. We also ate from the food carts that come out at night on Barrier Reef Drive.

I'd suggest comparing Rubie's and the San Pedrano. Both are inexpensive.
