I'll be there; going with Jaime's boat and Willito will drive.

Is anyone taking a boat and returning the same day?

I'm considering a day trip, overnight sounds fun too, knowing most fun stuff may be at night. Got some cheap rates at the following:

Overnight certainly sounds fun but I can't spare the time.

Probably in the afternoon to early evening. Sunday may be an earlier day. You will want to head out of Xcalak at least an hour before sundown.

Had thought about flying into Cancun and renting a car for the drive to Xcalak. It would seem that the rental charges for a midsize car with full coverage insurance, for a week, is about $800+gas. Is this rate about right?

I'll be happy to discuss my avatar with anyone who knows what it is.
