Marty, just spoke with my friends in the San Pablo area. There is about three feet of water in the yards that backup to the lagoon. Wind is fierce and homes are beginning to blow down.. roofs and walls.
About thirty people are congregated at Oscar Aguilars home since it is concrete for safety.

I think that by now we are experiencing winds of about 90 miles per hour.

I can hear windows breaking next door to us.
It looks pretty bad.

I only have pnly about 60% of battery use.

Phones are still working.

Hey, that wind just picked up quite a bit.

Talked with Mary Hawthorne...wind is severe at Tres Cocos. She and some
friends are taking refuge in "strong bodega".
Eduardo Brown, he is in town, said the water is rising from the lagoon in
the back. He estimates half the island has water over it already and the
wind is unbelievable. Everything is blowing ... I will be in touch with the
island every two hours if the phones hold out.

Problems at Emerald Isle (Enrique Staines condos) next to Rocks Inn. Glass doors are breaking due to back pressure.

Just got off the phone with my friends that are staying in our concrete
house. You could hear the wind howling. They had no power and were
surprised that the phones were working since we've had such problems with
them. The winds are screaming and the rains is really coming down. I had
them crack some windows late yesterday because I was afraid the presure may
blow them out. We have trees down in the yard and an awning that may go but
they are hanging in there. Susan Snyder, Melinda and Jules Escalante and
their children are all there and are safe. They think they've been through
the worst, I certainly hope so. I will be checking with them every hour or
so as long as the phones hold up.
