Hi there-

We are offically headed to Ambergris Caye for our honeymoon on August 22nd - 29th. Staying at Victoria House. We originally were going to get our diving cert completed up here in the states, but have seen that it isn't too much more expensive to just do it there. Sounds like alot more fun in a tropical climate than here at home.

Fantasea was recommended to us, but we'd like to see opinions about the best to go to for the PADI course. Also suggestions on the best day trips both flying and sailing.

We're very heavy into photography by the way, but the center focus of the trip is of course to just relax! But, I do have a 12mm lens on a FF I'll need to find a great sunset with.

i suggest you use the search function here, cuz i know these subjects have been discussed to death. there are many very good dive operations, and everyone has their opinions on who is the best.

you will love AC, so no worries with that. Victoria House has a wonderful reputation of being both lovely and romantic - a great choice.

Best way to go is to take your classroom and pool work at home and then do your open water while on your vacation. (actually, best way to go is to do everything at home and then just dive on your vacation)

In any event, the reason that I recommend getting everything done at home up to the open water portion, is so that you are not spending your wonderful vacation/honeymoon time studying.
