Things will get dicey, yes... but hurricane force winds do NOT extend 300 miles in either direction... And less Dean take a dramatic dive to the south, winds (on Ambergris for example) will be coming from the west, so it's doubtful any place in Belize will experience a 20 foot surge. It's gonna be a big mess to clean up, but again, unless Dean starts heading south, Belize could have it much worse. We're boarded up/hunkered down (5 1/2 miles north of San Pedro.)
