there are about 2000-2500 people that didn't leave in keith, and jim assumes that number is a bit higher this time. these folks have good homes and know what their homes can take. those with weaker homes should have evacuated by now

hurricane dean in front of us as we speak, will be very close to ambergris caye, there is good communication with the resorts up north. some bdf forces will be up north with a radio with a police officer or two
DFC is mostly evacuated. san pedrito is being emptied almost completely. a few people in san mateo were refusing to leave.. now its too late for them . weather was great just recently so some folks didn't evac. very small number of these people.
its completely different weather outside now than it was a few hours ago. so when its sunny some folks think they don't need to go. then whoa nice thunder on the radio. rain getting moderate to strong
stay in homes or shelters with families, find something to do, and listen to the radio, updates will continue. godfrey smith will be calling to address san pedro momentarily
I have family sheltering at Sueno del Mar, AC, (unless Greg changed his mind at the last minute and left altogether) - does anyone have any news from there, please? How are things faring there so far?
