Not sure on the PWC idea. Not much luck on the Island with these yet. Maybe someday, with the right marketing. Gas prices and turtle grass may make it a difficult business. Perhaps as the island continues to grow.

Thanks Elbert, I also don't know what PWC means. If it does mean wet bike/Waverunner there is already a rental business for them. I don't know of any jet skiis here (using the word in its strict meaning - the machines that have no seats and that you stand on).

Any business like this is going to be tough, as the machines are very vulnerable to rough or thoughtless handling and that's just what they get. Most people who rent equipment seem to take it as an opportunity to give it abuse they wouldn't dream of applying to something they own. Impellors are regularly destroyed by sucking in sand or sea grass, and most people dock by feel, often hard enough to break fibreglass.

PWC does mean personal water craft. Jet Ski is a brand name and sued others for using it. All of the above concerns are true and they are very noisey. Might do better in a place like Belize City or Corozal.

A individual's personality seems to change when they get on a PWC.......most of them go nuts and anoy the hell of everybody else on the water.

I'm happier than a pig in s__t...a foot on the sand...and a Belikin in my hand!

Amen, annoying noise, hazardous drivers, no local rules governing make it a potential problem.
Thank goodness they are not popular. I think high maintenances problems may be a factor in there absence. I see a few people get them but by the end of the season they are junk...and thank goodness ,who needs them.
