Chetumal seems to be at the center of the action. Dean is continuing to move fast across Mexico and is expected to exit the Yucatan perhaps in the vicinity of Merida. Hopefully the fast movement will lessen the storm surge on the backside of Ambergris.
Gone fishing!!

Windsurfing guy, eye of hurricane passed north of Belize and even north of Chetumal. The eye is losing its clear and large definition. Still lots of wind associated with it.
A fish and a bird can fall in love, but where will they build their nest?

I just spoke with Mike Madrid, Chris Barenfanger's foreman. He's staying about a quarter mile north of the cut in some unfinished condos on the Caribbean side. Winds are still about 100 MPH, but the water is not that high.
I'm happier than a pig in s__t...a foot on the sand...and a Belikin in my hand!
