Just heard a brief report on Weather Channel that said the water on the lagoon side met the water from the sea on the south end of the island. (yes, they actually mentioned San Pedro:))
Any news from the south end or from the back side?

My house is 2 1/2 miles south just north of Caribe Island Resort on the beach and I spoke with someone who stayed there. The wind is still blowing but lessening (from the backside of the island). Water came up about half way on the property and washed out the sand (could have been worse). He's waiting to go out to check if water went in downstairs and if any tiles are off the roofs but the roofs are still on the house and casita (yea!). Power off since 1 am but power poles and lines still up as far as he can see......unbelievable. All in all, I'd say we are very lucky.

It looks like I got the best Birthday present I ever wished and prayed for. (according to the reports we've been seeing) Thank you Marty for all your hard work in keeping us updated. Love to all our extended family on the island.
