Anyone hear from TB & Elliot in MX? Or Amber up in Coro?

Go Hawks - you will probably need to lay low in Belmopan for a bit. Sure to be lots of people trying to get back to their houses, families, etc. But yeah - go south to Placencia or PG to salvage what's left of your vacation. May still not have power in any of those places though. Or you could go further inland but the Cayo hotels are probably all full at this point

Hey ya'll I am new to this board; I visited san Pedro a couple years ago for college, stayed at Marine Trec. We are planning our honeymoon and are staying at Journeys End we are set to arrive October 14th. Journeys End web page is down, and we are wondering if anyone has any information. My fiancée and I are Hurricane Katrina survivors we lived in New Orleans; our prayers are with all of you who are there and all the family members and friends elsewhere. Any information would be helpful

GoHawks, thanks for the Belmopan update. This means my dogs should be safe, have not been able to get through there yet, appreciate it.

As far as San Pedro or Placencia, guess I would suggest you check out Placencia. We really don't have much info yet on the damage to the island. Also, the cleanup and aftermath of hurricanes can be dangerous with power lines, transformers, etc. Sound like down South may be more accessible right now. Don't know when the power will return though. Good Luck.

Thanks for the insight. I'll keep an eye on this board for now and wait to hear back from our caretaker, I know he was planning on getting back over there ASAP once dean passed. We still have a whole week left here in Belize so even if we had to pass time around here for a day or two I'd rather do that then head south and spend another grand or more.

We thought about heading to the Cayo area resorts but the local we talked to last night thought we'd be better off south, because of all the rain that was predicted over there could mean river flooding and pretty miserable conditions there as well.

LOVE FM morning show just signed off til tomorrow morning at 6am. They have changed dj's, let's hope the coverage remains the same. Many thanks to the entire LOVE FM crew for the fantabulous coverage all through the storm. It was extremely helpful to everyone! Get some rest to those of you signing off.
