A spokesman gave LOVE FM a report on San Pedro about 30 minutes or so ago. He said 85 % of the piers were damaged, downed trees are on the roads. Three areas are experiencing some flooding, I think he said San Pedrito, Boca Del Rio and San Juan or San Pablo, can't remember what name he said for that last one. There are some boats from the lagoon side that have come up on land. There is currently no water or electricity. That's about all I caught.

It's funny, we had a party 10 days ago for 2 friends who went to Belize for the first time in December last year - stayed on AC for 3 weeks and fell in love with the country; and 2 other friends who had never been to Belize but liked the idea of going there.
We've lived there twice - back in '88 and then in '91 and the last time we were with you guys was during Mitch in '98.

The one thing that James and Catherine, Suellen & I were telling Pam and Eric was that Belize was a very special and unique place - and this board proves it - in spades !

You're a good man Marty, and if anyone has paypal there's a rum or Belikan behind a bar of your choice when you return.

Barbara, Pablo is fine. He and his family were in Cayo. I believe he is heading back to San Pedro today. If he can get there. I am just thankful that no one was seriously hurt. And thanks Marty!!!

First report of the morning is now up with some info links at http://galenaalysoncanada.blogspot.com

Taca just announced via Love FM that they are flying today.

Likewise Maya Island Air just announced that they will operate "business as usual" once the All Clear is given.

Thanks so much everyone for all the updates. Any word on Belizean Shores/Tuff Enuff? For those that know him - Bill Ford (BC's barfly and Belizean Shores resident) left on Friday and is up here in Colorado safe and sound with me.

Just talked to Reef Adventures in SP - in north end of town, most docks have fairly minor damage. Patojo's dock is gone.
