Howdy Y'all!

My first post to this forum, so please be gentle wink

Is the port at Belize City the only port that can handle 20 ft. ISO containers?

And does anyone know of any steamship companies that have container service to a Belizian port, preferably out of Florida or the Southeast USA and return?

Thanks!

I have used Hyde Shipping out of Miami and Port Everglades. Their frieght forwarded is Mack Freight. Very good folks. The old man Hyde was from Roatan and specializes in Honduras and Belize. Ask for Benny Lopez or Mr. Torres.

Google em'.

Hello PirateJohn, can you just tell me about how to go to the Island if I am in Mexico Central. Do I need only the passport, or will I need my turist visa?

Hyde will direct you. Just tell them what you need and they will forward you to the proper department. Great folks.

Hyde shipping brought our stuff from Miami to Belize and they were very helpful and timely.

Good communications and very helpful

Benny Torres is the man to talk to, he can and will guide you though the red tape.

You should us a customs broker when your stuff gets here, so he can eleminate some of the red tape issues that go here.

You have to use a customs broker now, you can no longer do it yourself.

PalapaPappa, any idea on the cost of shipping an 18' boat and trailer in via Hyde from Miami and the procedure?

Thanks.

Call them direct and ask, that is your best bet. If boat is on trailer, probably around 1,000 to 1,200 US. Not including customs and tax in Belize City
