Frontier considers flights to Belize
Frontier Airlines is considering flying to more international destinations including Belize City, the company told shareholders at its annual meeting today.
John Happ, Frontier's senior vice president of marketing and planning, said Frontier has "spent a fair amount of time" looking at Belize City recently.
"We're not announcing anything soon but I would say it's on the radar screen," Happ said. He added that it would likely be a seasonal market.
Frontier has expanded its international reach significantly in recent years, with flights from Denver and other cities in the United States to Mexico, as well as flights from Denver to Canada and a new route to Costa Rica.
Frontier expects its international flights to make up 20 percent of its total capacity this December and 25 percent by the end of 2008.
