Not good... not good at all... he had a massive stroke on Wed. Aug. 29th and they found him at his home the following day. I was fortunate to arrive at the hospital just prior to his sisters arrival, fresh off the plane from Philly. The fortunate part was that the doctor explained his condition in front of me. Basically, his latest stroke had nothing to do with the two prior strokes (clogged arteries). He had blood in his brain. One of their concerns is that he could be battling pneumonia and meningitis (not the contagious kind) as well as the stroke. Since he's been in the hospital for the last several days, he has only opened his eyes just a few times and hasn't talked at all. The doctor just said what they usually say, she doesn't know what is going to happen. She said he is in "critical care". The thing she did say was that his left side will no longer work (not sure if it was working before this) and he will no longer do basic things (like typing on a key board).
Please keep Denny in your prayers. It was a very sad time at the hospital and I hate reporting that it sounds like we will no longer be able to communicate with him via the computer any longer.
Be strong Denny!! xoxo
BTW, his sister Darlene has my contact info. and is going to keep me informed. I'll report anything new I hear.
