Coming down in December and hope to see if we'd like it well enough to rent next winter for several months. My wife is adamant that we are not having our clothes washed by hand (too hard on them) -- so it becomes a case of renting a house with a washer / dryer or taking them to a laundry or using a laundrymat.

Please let me know what is available and what you recommend to make her happy!!

There's a laundromat downtown on Middle St., I think it's Nellies.....could be wrong on the name.....don't use it.

$2BZ per pound at Nellie's, there's also a do it yourself location at Iguana Gardens (just north of Xanadu) but I'm not sure of the rates.

I have used the machines at Iguana Gardens and by the time you buy everything you need, the $2BZ a pound isn't much more expensive and much less work

Didn't there used to be a laundrymat next to AquaMarina?

You are right on name Loansum (Nellies)

Candace's in town on front street which we found worked out to about $40 Belize for 3 washers and 2 dryers

(we have 4 laundry buckets and one handing rack)

Some people will wash your laundry with their machines at home.
Or you could rent a house with laundry hook-up and buy your own machines, depending on you budget.
Then you could sell them when you leave! (If this happens)
Belize it!

1. Just wear the same clothes for a week or so and then just throw them away.
2. Don't bring any clothes and buy from the used clothes store and give away when done with them.
3. Only go out every other day and run around the house naked half the time. That way your clothes would last two weeks...
4. Never go out and run around the house naked. Clothes you arrive with will be good to go when you depart.

Hope that helps.. keith

Or dive in them, and rely on the sea keeping them clean.
