the Arizona Diamondbacks have made it to the playoffs. Is it too early to hope for a rematch of the 2001 World Series, vs. the Yankees?

Yep, as the Cubs will be in the World Series this year.

Cubs have the worst record all of the teams (in both leagues). That seems like wishful thinking...

to a Chicago fan, "wishful thinking" is spelled H-O-P-E. I saw all three Cubs vs. DBacks games at Chase Field this year, two in the seats and one as an employee. The Cubs' fans are the greatest. If the snakes don't beat New York in the World Series, I hope that los Ositos de Chicago does the deed. The Cubs are way overdue.

&nbsp Of course, we need to see if the Brew Crew can beat the Dads in extra innings first. Current score: San Diego 3, Milwaukee 3 in the 10th.

best of luck to your boys in pinstripes. I hope they get another chance to play the DBacks in the World Series. It's gotta suck, spending all that money on payroll and going "oh for the millenium".

&nbsp I saw the Yankees during Grapefruit League play in Tampa Bay last year. I was born in New York City, and I'll always like the Yankees. I hope to see a game in Yankee Stadium someday soon.

BrusselSprout, Don't know where you get your stats from but on a win/loss percentage Tampa has the worst record of all teams for this season. Cubs are actually 12th overall, 6th overall for the NL. DB are 1st in the NL, Yankees are 4th in the AL.

i think he meant to say the worst record of all of the playoff teams........which is correct. not that it matters, as st. louis was that team last year, and they won it all. anyway, go cubbies. i will be there on saturday, as tickets just came through. good luck to you d-backs fans.

I did mean of all playoff teams. They wouldn't be in it if they had the WORST record. Plus...I'm a girl.
