Hey all...

So has anyone (everyone?) else been experiencing INCREDIBLE dips and surges in their electricity lately??? It's been AWFUL here the last few weeks, probably the worst we've experienced in the last 5 years... huge PIA too, as bulbs everywhere keep blowing... We have all of our refrigerators/freezers plugged into "line monitors" for protection... Probably 1/2 the day they shut themselves off while waiting for the current to stabilize. I just can't help wonder if it is this bad NOW (with 1/2 the businesses up this way closed) how bad is it going to get in November/Dec when things get busy or when all the new construction in progress comes on-line? We've long since gotten used to spotty electricity, but a of late it seems to have reached a new low...

The last few days BEL has been cutting power to San Pablo, DFC and nearby areas to do work on their high voltage lines. This is likely reflected in the surges and dips you are seeing up north as the overall load varies.
