Took a ride through Corozal one past. Still shops open -- people buying.
Light wind -- little rain. The Sea is about 3 ft below it's normal low tide
Since then winds have picked up. And much steady rain -- heavier than
before -- has returned.
We have not lots power or phone in Xaibe village as of yet. But apparently
they have been some failures in Corozal.
Consejo Village is out of power and phone -- they are trying to evacuate
the entire village but some families are resisting.
My neighbors are here on a regular basis -- what is going to happen they ask??
Keith is trying to eat San Pedro for dinner and have us for a late supper --
in my reply.
I "feel" this hurricane will dance South West -- like Mitch did -- after
striking land. And huge amount od rain will be dropped then. Watch out Cayo
How does it seem while I type this message in my house in Xaibe??
Like a mild Canadian summer storm. Maybe gusts of 40 mph. No real heavy
rains yet. But more than a drizzle at this time.
