I am conducting research for a paper I am writing about entrepreneurs that start businesses in tropical countries other than their own country. I am focusing on people who own B&B’s, small hotels or guest houses but welcome input from any business owners. I appreciate any appropriate responses I get to the following questions:

If you are not a native what made you want to start your a business in Belize?

How did you get started?

What were your initial startup costs?

What was the hardest thing about running your own business in a new country?

How do you promote your business?

What were your biggest mistakes?

How did you learn about your business?

What would you advise to someone looking to start their own business in Belize or another tropical location?

I am not so sure you are going to get the response you are after, noting that you just signed up to the message board today, you give no info on yourself, You have left no email address etc. and are using a pen name that is not your real name. I would hesitate to give all my info to someone who gives none. Alot of folks wish to P.M. a person when it comes to personal stuff you may want to at least set that up for yourself.
