TIDE’s 10th Anniversary

The Toledo Institute for Development and Environment (TIDE) was founded in 1997 by Mr. Wil Maheia. It has now been ten years and the organization, along with its new Executive Director, Mrs. Celia Mahung, is planning a week of environmental activities that will focus on environmental education and awareness. The anniversary will be celebrated as follows:

12th November 2007:
Appearance on National Radio (Love FM) for talk show

20th November 2007:
Planting of trees and decorative plants
Community Project (s)

21st November 2007:
Environmental Fair
Debate between two High Schools
TIDE Exhibition

22nd November 2007:
Naming of trails on the TIDE Private Lands
Trip to Protected Areas under TIDE’s Management
Inauguration of a Park

23rd November 2007:
Miss Conservation Pageant

24th November 2007:
Fundraising dinner

25th November 2007:
Ecumenical service
