Do the boats come in to the dock off front street in town? I would love to be there on Sunday!

I'm deep sea fishing one of those days already. What I don't understand...it says the entry fee is $50 for an individual. I'd pay that, even if I only fished one day. But it also says "Calcutta: $500 pay-in per boat".

So can you pay the $50 and be eligible for the prizes listed, without paying into the calcutta?

CALCUTTA

A way that non-participants in a match can bet on the outcome of team play. Teams are named and anyone who wishes to bet on a particular team must win an auction for the right to bet on that team.

Some portion of the auction proceeds is designated as the prize for the winners. The rest is given to those who bet on the winning team. Usually, the team members are also required to wager a certain amount on themselves according to a set formula.

The precise formula varies widely. Sometimes the second place team (and those who bet on the second place team) also win a piece of the action.
