I was looking over everyone's questions(and concerns) about the NEW Sweet Basil's Restaurant. I am going to try to answer as many as I can here;I just spoke with the wife of the owner<(Just so you know, it is not Jeff) She is in Phoenix (AZ, Tucson Jim

MENU~~~It is somewhat the same, but still a bit different than the previous owners. Specialty salads, pastas with Fresh homemade sauces by Velma (the cook), huge hamburgers, chicken dishes, Manalley's ice cream(Scubalady...are you feelin it?),cerviche to write home about, home-made tortilla chips for that cerviche, wines, full bar. etc, etc, just a few things she mentioned
NOT MANY ITEMS AVAILABLE: No, not every item on the menu is available, but most are. But--Tyler now has contacts in Belize City for ordering inventory; they're not keeping large supplies of things on hand YET~~~as they JUST opened up again, after being there the past few weeks cleaning and getting things ready.
AND FYI~~~~~The couple from Portland has enjoyed a few meals there already AND ordered some for take out. So, if you can find them, ask them what they think. <<<FYI-I don't know these people, I am just relaying information.
GRAND RE-OPENING: YES< there will be one.and pretty soon here. LOOK for ads and flyers regarding it.
I hope I have answered some questions without "tooting" my own horn. It's not MY horn to toot anyway
But, being as my nephew is friends with these people I'm gonna give them the benefit of the doubt.
