Ryan has been in the states for a couple of months or so, last month his wife Janet was still there running the bar. sad to see it go, nice people. Hope it reopens somewhere else soon.

I believe Jan (Ryan's mum) is going to open up off the beach somewhere near Royal Palm. Ryan has been in Missouri for a few months now, and later this month his wife Janet is leaving to live with him. So the new bar will be wholly Jan's do, with hired help. Some of the hired help may be from Janet's extended family, as they have been at Cannibals for a few months now.

I was hoping this was just a hoax but the palapa and bar are gone. So so sad. I'll miss Gabe.

What a bummer. This news makes me very sad..

Awe man... this is sad news. Cannibals was our first stop off the water taxi during my 1st trip, as I'm sure it was for many. What a bummer.
