Tinkerbell, To my knowledge the South beach development (in club Caribbean) did not contribute anything. But then again, the water pipe ends about a mile north in Boca Ciega. The 'South Beach' subdivision (by the barge on the south side of Holiday Lands) did contribute to the cause.

Barnacle, I'm thinking the same thing.

Ok, so there is a subdivision also called South Beach, north of Boca Ciega as well as the South Beach Development- in Club Carribean.
Has construction begun in the subdivision. What is that like?
How far from Boca Ciega is that one?

KB - Perhaps you should seek out Chris and make a contribution to their Residents Fund that paid towards BWS installing the water mains that far South.

To give you a hint where to find him he lives next door to your house, and his wife is your property manager!!

I don't know where the exact line is drawn between Holiday Lands and Boca Ciega but I would say the the South Beach Subdivision is the north end of Boca Ciega. There has been no construction there yet. The lagoon side is being used for the Sandman dredging operation and there is a dock on the ocean side. That is it.

There has also been no development yet at South Beach hotel/casino/shopping mall/residences(Club Caribbean) with the exception of a partial road extending to the lagoon and a big chunk of mangroves cleared on the lagoon.

Simon and Phil - I love the sarcasm on this board. So many folks willing to take a personal shot at someone they don't know and about whom they have little to no information.

I assume Chris would not discuss my business with others...as is appropriate. However, I did send my money for this project well over a year ago. It was Chris that told me that someone to the south had initiated the project.

I also met a developer at Malcolm and Marys' one evening who claimed to be responsible for the water and the south beach project. As I said...it was a rumour, not a fact. You hear things from alot of people and I have learned to take things with a grain of salt.

Next time you want to accuse someone of not paying their fare share....please get your facts straight.

Gosh, I hope that nothing this tacky ever gets built on the island. South Beach Belize......what a joke. It might be time for a design review board at the permit office. I agree with Barnacle....you want Miami, go to freakin' Miami!!
