My recommendation would be Senor Carlos Marin. A fine gentleman who can help even the helpless catch some nice ones. He can be reached through the Pescadore Hotel, they make his bookings. Ya must hurry, he is scheduled far in advance. If ya can't get Carlos, his son or any other of the guides at Pescadore can get the job done. Good luck.

I just got back from San Pedro yesterday. Fished with Nesto Gomez. This guy is one of the best guides I have fished with. Eyes like a hawk and he alway keeps the boat positioned just right to give you the best casting position relative to the wind and movement of fish. On one day when the fish were hard to find, he did not hesitate to cover alot of ground to locate them. Try reaching him through Ruby's hotel. His dad runs the place. He stays pretty well booked all the time so call way ahead of time.

Good point reefer... Also one must keep in mind that wind will be a factor. One should practice quick fire casts to targets in the 40 - 50 foot range in 15mph wind in all directions. Being able to do this will increase your success rate.

I can see all you Fishermen, out in your back yard practicing your cast, with your wife holding the leaf blower in the air. LOL Better yet come to S. Texas to practice, a mild day the wind is 15mph.

Chloe, This is where I do all my practicing. As a matter of fact, I had a practice session this morning. I will be leaving the Valley for Austin tomorrow.

Pescador, sorry you have to leave the Valley, and will talk to you back in Austin, safe trip home. Were you Bay fishing? Hope you caught a bunch of trout and reds.
