LOL...couldn't have said it better myself Bill. Sometimes you DO hit the nail right on the head! ![[Linked Image]](//ambergriscaye.com/message/biggrin.gif) DJ....from your questions....it sounds like you are a little familiar with issues and problems that exist in the Caribbean. Belize follows suit....it is typical Caribbean in every aspect. I would visit before I planned on staying here a year though.

bill, you crack me up, yet you are efficient! take the time to read back through these posts for a few weeks or months and most of your q's can be answered. there is also a site called belize.net that may have some answers too. good luck.

skeeters mainly when it rains, and areas haven't drained yet. bring the highest deet bug juice you find, then if you leave it in your bag and don't need it great. usually you won't, but bring some.
stay on the beach where its windy. sandflies are mostly in less inhabited areas, not san pedro... see: //AmbergrisCaye.com/pages/town/sandflies.html
no other smaller biting, snakes, bugs on the island. Earthwuakes, no, hurricanes, who knows...
the latest i have on immigration is at: //AmbergrisCaye.com/pages/town/immigrationpolicy.html

You have way too many worries, and really need to go to Ambergris, to get rid of those worries. You will be fine, Belize It and Enjoy. You will go home to happy and relaxed.
