Both beer and water are on the list . . .at least they were when we ordered in November. He charges $37 US for a case of Belikin. It seems high, but is worth it, at least for the first case, to have it cold in your fridge when you get there. You can always pick the next case up cheaper at the Belikin warehouse.
The closet to an American-style lager is probably Lighthouse, another Belikin product.
When you find a big kettle of crazy, it's best not to stir it.

bec, of course there's beer. Belize used to be British Honduras, and the Brits put a brewery in every colony they ever owned. The Queen is going to knight the owner of the brewery, for crying out loud. The beer is called Belikin and it costs something like BZ$45 per case.

You guys aren't talking about what is normally referred to as a case of beer up here. ie: a dozen beer
You are talking about a flat of beer (24), yes?

seashell, I suppose that depends on where "up here" is. Up here in the Upper Sonoran Desert, a case of beer is 24 bottles or cans. We're not very creative when we talk about a dozon beers, referring to that as a "twelve pack". Makes sense, no?
When we talk about prices "per case" in Belize, I think we're all talking about 24 bottles, even if those bottles are shortchanged down to 10oz or 11oz. If I remember correctly, Belikin Regular and Stout is in little bottles, something like 325ml.
